Detail Itinerary Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu.

Upon arrival meet our representative and transfer to hotel. At hotel you will be welcomed with the welcome drink, and assigned rooms.

At 3:00 pm Road Captain introduce you Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha and the Royal Enfield Motorcycles. Then brief about riding safely & Tibet Motorcycle Tour , which will be followed by a quick Q and A session. After the briefing ride around the city get familiar with the motorcycles.

At 6:00 pm, you’ll be taken to Bhojan Griha, a typical Nepali Restaurant, for dinner. The building that houses Bhojan Griha is a ancient structure around 100 years ago. It is quite artistic. At the eatery, o either sit at the tables or to go for Nepali style floor sitting.

Day 02: Ride from Kathmandu to Namobuddha.

Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha officially starts on this day. In the process, ride through Koteshwor and Benepa. From Benepa continue riding towards Panauti. Panauti is a historical Newari town near Roshi & Punyamata River.City of prominent icons, such as the Indreswor temple and Durbar Square

Guided Motorcycle tours to Tibet ride to Namobuddha on a graveled road full of dirt. It is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. Looking around and enjoying the environment, ride back to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel.

Day 03: Ride from Kathmandu to Daman.

After breakfast, ride from Kathmandu to Daman. You’ll have to dodge the busy traffic of Kathmandu city, and descend to Naubise and stop there for tea. After tea, continue your ride to Daman.

Beware as the road goes uphill with sharp bends all the way. The place is the perfect destination for outdoor activities. One can also enjoy the amazing mountain panorama from Daman. Upon arrival here, check in to the resort, and free to relax and explore around the resort.

Day 04: Ride from Daman to Syabrubesi.

Will ride enjoyable downhill towards Naubise & Galchi. From here, it is a steep winding descent till Trishuli, but the scenery is fantastic. Here, we stop for the lunch. After lunch, head north and continue your ride to Dhunche. From here, ride on the steep descend on a winding and snaky trail till Syabrubesi. Upon arrival at Syabrubesi, you will check in to a lodge.

Day 05: Ride from Syabrubesi to Kyirong Town.

You day will start with a hearty breakfast. Then,  ride for approx. 20 km to Kyirong, the Nepal-Tibet border. After completing the immigration formalities, meet the guide from Tibet. Proceed for China Custom clearance, after all the formalities, ride 24 km to Kyirong.

Kyirong means happy village in Tibetan. Pagba Monastery, Chagar Monastery, Qiangzhen Monastery and Kyirong Jiangcun Nature reserve are the most popular attractions of Tibet. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and explore the town.

Day 06: Ride from Kyirong Town to Saga.

Motorcycle ride through the beautiful Tibetan landscape through one after another more attractive views and glimpse of the mighty Brahmaputra River. Day 07: Ride from Saga to Lhatse.

Today, we will ride on the scenic route from Saga to Lhatse. In the process, you’ll cross over many passes. Then, the trail follows a route that brushes past Brahmaputra River. Further ahead, a river valley sprawls over and then traditional picturesque villages come into picture. This aesthetically rewarding ride provides plenty of opportunities for photography. On this long day’s ride, over the sandy and rocky landscape of Tibet, views of lakes, nomads chasing hundreds of yaks and sheep, and so on, keep you busy. Upon arrival at Lhatse, in to the hotel.

Day 08: Ride from Lhatse to Gyantse.

After finishing your breakfast, you will visit Shakya Monastery. It was founded in 1073 by Konchok Gyalpo, during the rule of Sakyapas. Many of its priceless images, fresco statues and holy scriptures remaining today date back to the time of its founding. After the visit, Guided Motorcycle tours to Tibet ride 115 km to Shigatse.

The route today is scenic, and you’ll be required to cross a small pass located on an elevation of 4300 m. Upon arrival at Shigatse City, you will be served lunch. After lunch, continue on your ride 90 km to Gyantse. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, sightseeing tour of Gyantse Kumbum and the Pelkhor Chode Monastery.

Day 09: Ride from Gyantse to Lhasa via Lake Yamdrok.

On this day, Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha riding on the trail, with fantastic views of the turquoise blue waters of the manmade Yamdrok the colorful lake, you’ll cross Karo La (5010 m) and  Kamba La (4,794m) pass then reach Lhasa.

Lhasa is capital of Tibet. There are many hills that surround Lhasa. One of them, Red Hill, is topped by the Potala Palace, a significant Buddhist heritage. Lhasa in Tibetan means ‘Place of the Gods’ and Potala Palace means ‘the residence of the Dalai Lama – God King’.

Day 10: Sightseeing Tour of Lhasa.

During the morning, you will visit Potala Palace. This structure has over 1000 rooms. This architectural wonder, a spectacular edifice, whose gold roofs soar high above the town and rise more than 300 m above the valley floor.

In the evening, you will visit the Jokhang Temple, which is situated in the heart of old Lhasa. It houses Tibet’s most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha, which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng, on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo.

Day 11: Ride from Lhasa to Shigatse.

We will set out for Shigatse via the northern route. The route today is relatively straight forward but scenic at times.

During the journey, you will also take a tour of Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpo Monastery, which was founded in 1447 AD by Gendun Drup, the first Dalai Lama. Tashilhumpo has one of the world’s largest statues, a 9 storied gilded bronze statue of Maitriya, the future Buddha. Also, visit the Flea Market of Shigatse and look out for souvenirs.

Day 12: Ride from Shigatse to Rongbuk via Shegar.

On this day, Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha will start your ride to reach the destination of Shegar first. You will leave Shigatse to arrive at Lhatse in around 3 hours. Then, cross the highest passes in the region Gyatso La, situated at 5228 m is the highest point on this ride. It is marked by an array of prayer flags and a gate.

From Shegar, you will set out for Rongbuk. Arrive check post Here, it is mandatory to present all the National Park entry permits for people and as well as vehicles. After receiving clearance, you will ascend on a zigzag trail to Gyawla Pass, situated at 5200 m. you will descend once again zigzagging through hundreds of switchbacks all the way to Tashi Dzom. Upon arrival, check in to the Guest House.

Day 13: Ride from Rongbuk to Thingri.

We will follow the dirt road to the south. Currently, you will find here the tented settlement of Dza Rongphu. At the moment, it serves as the temporary Everest Base Camp, which used to lie just beyond some moraine hills, mere 4 km away. The new rules prohibit vehicles and tourists from going beyond Dza Rongphu.

Here you can spend some time taking photos next to the boulder, marking the base camp at the tented city. After lunch, you will set out for Thingri by retracing the route till the 26 km marker. Leave the main road, and take the small dirt track. Upon arrival, check in to the guest house.

Day 14: Ride from Thingri to Kyirong via Paikut Tso.

Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha riding on the highest plateau of the world. You will be offered views of the Tibetan landscape, where you will have the sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world.

Cross the Lalung La (5,200 m) and Thong La (5050 m) from where you’ll get panoramic views of the mountains in the Himalayan range including that of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Shishapangma (8012 m) and Langtang (7232 m) in the south.

Guided Motorcycle tours to Tibet will descend towards Pelkhu Tso (4600m) a stunningly beautiful lake into which the glacial streams of Da-Chu and Lha-Chu drain. After spending some time at the lake, continue your ride towards Kyirong Town.

Day 15: Ride from Kyirong Town to Kathmandu.

On this day, you make your way back to Nepal. Complete the immigration procedures, and then cross the small makeshift bridge and enter Rasuwagadhi. The ride from here is along the Pasang Lhamu Highway, with numerous switchbacks and dirt sections.

At 6:30 pm you will attend a farewell dinner at a luxurious restaurant, To celebrate the successful completion of the Tibet Motorcycle Tour EBC-Lasha, share your experiences, and comment on our services.

Day 16: Final Departure.

On this day, you will finish all your final hour shopping and packing. You will, then, be transferred to the airport for final departure.

  • 3 nights Kathmandu and 1 night Daman stay at three star and 1 night Bandipur and 1 night Syabru besi standard hotel in twin sharing on Bed and Breakfast Basis and inclusive of all taxes.
